Family Groups
Family groups are the backbone of Second City and consist of small intimate groups of multi-generational men and women who meet weekly for dinner, prayer, and the study of scriptures. They are believers who have chosen to covenant with one another in life and in ministry. They are to walk with one another through all of life's triumphs and tribulations. They are to bear one another's burdens, rejoice with each other, carry one another in prayer and intercession, provide for one another, worship together, break bread together, and spur one another on towards Christ. Family groups are the first line of defense against satan and his tactics--they are to call one another out when in sin and restore them quickly to the fold. They are to stand in the gap for each other refusing to allow the enemy into their family.
Hope Closet
We know many in our city are hurting and we are here to help! Our hope closet is available to ANYONE in need regardless of if you are part of our church or not. We carry everything from food and clothing to feminine hygiene products, baby items and more! Our closet will be accessible beginning launch day, September 14th 2025, however, if you are in need of assistance now please email us at contact@secondcityroanoke.com and we will do our best to help!
Marriage Rescue
We believe that there is no marriage too far gone that the power of God can't reach in and save. Whether you are contemplating divorce or mere days away from signing papers, we want to partner with you to see God reconcile, restore and redeem your marriage. There are many adversaries to your marriage, but we want to be advocates for your marriage. Reach out if this is you!
Prayer + Prophetic Ministry
We offer prayer and personal ministry every Sunday immediately after service. We also offer corporate pre-service prayer prior to service from 9-10:00 AM. Please reach out to us any time by email so we can partner with you in prayer over your specific situation.
Men's Mentorship
There is an all-out war on masculinity today, but we believe that strong families, churches and communities start with strong men. If you are a man who is looking for deeper community and accountability this is for you! We would love to pair you with someone who can walk out the faith with you. Reach out via email for more info!
Daughter Redeemed
At Second City Church, we have opted out of the standard "recovery groups" as we don't believe in separating people out by their sin but rather believe that discipleship and recovery come from our family groups. However, we also acknowledge that for far too long, the church has treated p*rnography like a man's issue, instead of a human issue creating a gaping hole in the church at large. As such, we offer Daughter Redeemed Ministries which is specifically for women battling p*rn addictions. This is led by women who have walked this road and found freedom in Christ. Online options will be available as well for those who do not live in the greater Roanoke area.
